But the superhot oven is only part of what Russo is doing right. You don't get a pizza crust with this kind of fabulous texture unless you can turn out a high-rising yeasty dough every day. And the only way to keep such a great pizza from getting gloppy is to teach every apprentice pizza maker in the place that you aren't doing your customers any favors when you pile too many toppings on the pie. Russo's Coal Fired Pizza on 290 and Hyw 6 is absolutely the best pizza ever. Having been a loyal Fuzzy's diner for years, I have a new love! Be sure to try the Italian sausage and the Buffalo cheese. The food is terrific, the wait staff friendly and knowledgeable, owner is smart and funny and times there are entertaining. If you like Dominos and frozen pizza, don't go. This is too good to waste on those who are unable to appreciate it!
