If you work in the radio biz and can somehow get associated with Jim Rome, you're automatically in the airwave gold category. That's what Travis Rodgers did for $5 an hour, reading the "Huge Fax of the Day" (dude has been in this game for a long time) before hopscotching to a better gig as Jim Rome Show producer. Rodgers became as integral to Rome's segments as the host, which made Rodgers's decision to hightail it from the left coast to Houston's 1560 AM KGOW/The Game a no-brainer. He's made the most of his time since September 2010 as the main man behind Travis Rodgers Now, which can be heard from 3 to 7 p.m. weekdays, thanks to a smart-aleck sense of humor that always works well with a mid-afternoon sports talk show.

Wow...Travis is the reason I stopped listening to 1560...it's not Houston radio...it's barely sports radio...I'm sure he's got his crowd...but what a bunch of annoying A-holes they must be...i'm guessing Sean had a lot on getting Travis up here...you obviously can't vote for yourself...I guess...LZ is tops here...prob close behind is Granato...

Rodgers is awful on the ears. There aren't many better options at that time slot, but I'd rather listen to Pallilo because at least he actually discusses sports. Rodgers and Pendergast are more Entertainment Tonight than SportsCenter.

It looks like Travis has not been giving himself enough credit. This cat definitely needs more run because he Grinds and Rants with the best of them, and has not been receiving his due on air or in print. I mean, I only listen to the #Best and Trevor is certainly worthy of that moniker.
