47th Annual WorldFest — Houston International Film Festival
The tagline for the 47th Annual WorldFest — Houston International Film Festival is “Everybody’s a critic.” With some 50 indie features and more than 100 film shorts from 31 countries on the festival’s ten-day schedule, it would seem quite a few people are filmmakers, too. Highlights of this year’s festival include new offerings by Bill Plympton and Henry Jaglom, the ninth annual Panorama Italia with five Italian indie films, the newly added Panorama Taiwan and a special screening of Casablanca marking the landmark movie’s 70th anniversary. Visit the festival’s website for a detailed screening schedule.
