Five patients from a mental rehabilitation center in Nepal photographed scenes from their daily lives for Aasha Deep. The images, of ordinary events, show the sameness of the way people behave, regardless of their state of mental health. Ostracized by society in their remote rural country, the patients/photographers capture a sense of normalcy while living among people who consider them to be anything but normal. Theres an opening reception at 6 p.m. January 10. Regular viewing hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Through January 26. Rice Media Center, 6100 Main.
