Alice in Wonderland
Red Door Theatre’s own Josh Jordan brings us a brand-new adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, the timeless tale of the girl who fell down the rabbit hole into a make-believe world where only madness makes sense. Taking cues from Japanese kabuki theater practices, the show will feature startling face paint and garish, kimono-style costumes. It’s a brilliant way to interpret a story we’ve seen a million times, with the majority of the action taking place in the court of the dreaded, homicidal Queen of Hearts. Red Door is not responsible for any heads lost in the course of the evening. 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3:30 p.m. Sundays. Through August 19. 4513 Red Bluff Road. For information, call 281-542-0500 or visit www.thereddoortheatrecompany.com. $10 to $15.
Fridays-Sundays. Starts: Aug. 3. Continues through Aug. 19, 2012
