And Now, Some Hoops
Recently, our man Yao Ming narrowly beat out Kobe Bryant for the title of most votes for the 55th annual NBA All-Star Game, proving that team players always win over ball hogs. You can see Yao and his teammate Tracy McGrady welcome a slew of the best at today's All-Star Game, which features names like LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal, Allen Iverson, Tim Duncan and more in a not-so-heated contest between the Western (that's us) and Eastern Conferences.
The game will be intriguing even if you're not a hoops fan as it marks the purported last ever Houston performance by Destiny's Child, who'll sing the national anthem before tipoff. For Houstonians, it's the last time (again, allegedly) that we'll see the trio, what with Beyoncé moving on to movies, Kelly Rowlands doing TV gigs and albums, and Michelle Williams working on her solo stuff. Don't sweat it if you didn't score tickets, as the game will be broadcast on TNT, Rogers Sportsnet, ESPN Radio and even NBA.com when the game kicks off.
