A few weeks ago, local foodies and Cajuns went into a near panic when it was announced that this year's crawfish harvest wouldn't be so hot, thanks to hurricanes Katrina and Rita. So mudbug lovers should get 'em while they can at the Bayou City Crawfish Festival. Benefiting Texas Equusearch, the family-friendly event will offer carnival rides, a petting zoo, arts and crafts booths and, of course, plenty of gumbo and crawfish. Continuous live entertainment includes country (Roger Creager, Honeybrowne, Jack Ingram), Latino and zydeco artists.
April 7-9, 6 p.m.
