You may remember the Super Bowl commercial where the Budweiser Clydesdales are having a friendly game of pigskin in front of an animal audience. Suddenly they're interrupted by a sheared sheep that "streaks" and saucily shakes its butcher-friendly hind quarters. Two laconic cowboys are watching the contest, and one delivers the punch line: "Didn't need to see that." That grizzled man of open spaces was played by Dallas actor Greg Dulcie, who's currently in the midst of more animal silliness in the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast, running in town this month courtesy of Theatre Under the Stars.
"We were out in the middle of a field, and we did a lot of improv, so we didn't know what they were going to use," Dulcie says of the popular Budweiser ad (AOL users voted it the No. 1 spot of the day). "But it ended up being a huge hit."

His current gig pits him as Monsieur D'Arque, the nefarious henchman to the vain Gaston who tries to break up Beauty and the Beast's interspecies romance. Dulcie knows that acting in a show based on a popular Disney movie has its challenges. And often, the littlest critics can be the toughest. "Yeah, they're like that!" he laughs. "So I had to study the movie." The show promises extra exposure for Dulcie, as Monsieur D'Arque will perform a song that wasn't in the film. And he'll be showing off his range as he plays a nonhuman, too. "I am also going to be a piece of cutlery during the 'Be Our Guest' number," he says. We're sure his performance will be nothing short of cutting-edge.
