Best of Dallas Video Festival
The Best of Dallas Video Festival includes a wide mix of genres. Ranging from experimental film to documentaries to animation, the collection highlights the top films of the festivals 20th year. Lewis Khlars animated Pony Glass is a portrait of Supermans best friend, Jimmy Olsen, who must deal with a sexual identity crisis. Delusions of Modern Primitivism is Daniel Loflins documentary about one mans pursuit of personal, wearable art in the form of tattoos, piercings and (were not kidding) bullet holes. Matt McCormick portrays graffiti cleanup (or buffing) as an art form equal to the one it erases in The Subconscious Art of Graffiti Removal, and Daniel DeLoach uses video to visually explore the poetry of Olga Lavrova in Tryptych. 8 p.m. Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday.
