Bobbindoctrin Puppet Theatre: My Cold Dead Fingers
The latest deadline for the Rapture has come and gone, and the post-apocalypse world looks much the same as it did pre-apocalypse. That doesn’t mean we should assume that hidden evil spirits aren’t controlling existence as we know it. The Bobbindoctrin Puppet Theatre certainly hasn’t. In the new play by Joel Orr, My Cold Dead Fingers, those evil forces are brought to light, with the characters played by hand and rod puppets created by Katie Jackson.
Appropriately, the play will mark Bobbindoctrin’s debut at 14 Pews, the microcinema housed within an old wooden church. What better setting to view man’s last battle between the New Apostles and Satanic forces? 9 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Mondays. Through November 19. 14 Pews, 800 Aurora. For information, call 713-259-1304 or visit www.bobbindoctrin.org. $15 (negotiable).
Fridays, Saturdays; Mon., Nov. 14. Starts: Nov. 11. Continues through Nov. 19, 2011
