Boo Town: Cut Down
The current production from the merry gang at BooTown, Cut Down, blends the Greek myth of Ixion, an impulsive man who was always breaking the most basic customs of hospitality (and paying for it dearly), with the fascinating story of the unknown fate of Amazonian explorer Percy Harrison Fawcett, who disappeared into the jungle in 1925. Collectively devised, the performance blurs the lines between writing, acting and design, and as is always the case with BooTown, this will be a nontraditional theater experience. Intermission is a party, built into the story line. Come and be loud, says director Philip Hays. You dont have to be polite. 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Super Happy Fun Land, 3801 Polk. For information, visit www.bootown.org. $10.
