Insects are creepy, so giant insects would have to be really, really creepy. This simple concept has propelled horror movies as far back as Them! and the original The Fly. It lived on in Bugged from Troma Films, the low-budget distributor thats always liked simple concepts. The 1997 horror film, screening today at the Alamo Drafthouse, features two exterminators who accidentally switch their pesticides with radioactive waste (something that always seems to be lying around in horror films). The result is you guessed it huge, fake-looking creepy-crawlies with a taste for blood.
