"Canned Acoustica III"
In this third edition of the locally cultivated charity concert series, attendees can expect a hell of a show as rapper Fat Tony and classical indie crew Two Star Symphony join forces for a set bridging the gap between new school and original school. Word coming from their rehearsals has been jaw-dropping, with those in the know applauding the daring marriage of both artists' skills. Also on the bill at Warehouse Live Green Room will be two newcomers to the Canned scene in Deep Ella's Jeff Crowder and powerful soprano balladeer Alicia Gianni. Modern rockers Tax The Wolf, The Manichean, The Handshake, and Holy Fiction round out this all-acoustic show. This time around, all proceeds from the $5 admission charge will go to the Japanese Red Cross Society, in conjunction with the Help Japan-Houston organization.
7 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Warehouse Live (Green Room), 813 St. Emanuel, 713-225-5483 or www.warehouselive.com.
Thu., May 26, 7 p.m., 2011
