The Photobooth on Montrose, both a commercial photography studio and a performance space, is one of the oddest combinations of ventures we’ve ever seen. (The top honor still goes to the Bar of Soap punk club/laundromat in Dallas). Singer/songwriter/author David Berkeley will be on Photobooth’s stage today. The low-key storyteller’s music has all the depth of Don McLean and the freshness of our own Folk Family Revival. Willy Collins and Brant Lee Croucher also appear. 8 p.m. 2710 Montrose. For information, call 832-661-7363 or visit www.davidberkeley.com. $15.
