What if Syd Barrett hadnt lost his mind? What if David Gilmour hadnt been there, guitar in hand, to pick up the pieces and help save one of the greatest rock bands of all time? The man most capable of answering such questions has invited you to ask them. Gilmour will be appearing via live satellite feed from London to release a theatrical version of Remember That Night Live at the Royal Albert Hall, documenting his May 2006 concert. The film features songs from Gilmours solo release On an Island, as well as fan favorites from the Pink Floyd catalogue. Of particular interest is a performance of Floyd classic Echoes, which will be performed in all its spaced-out, epic glory for the first time in 20 years. Bookending the screening, Gilmour will open with a live, one-song performance (joined by special guests such as David Bowie, Graham Nash and David Crosby), and close with a live Q&A, answering select fan questions.
Sat., Sept. 15, 2 p.m.
