Participate in a rescue mission sent in to retrieve survivors of a plane crash in the jungle filled with dinosaurs in ''Dinos Alive!'' (It's all very Jurassic Park 3.) Those who brave the exhibit will be treated to dinosaurs that are life-size, extremely accurate and — best of all — animated by the power of robotics as they navigate the underbrush on their mission. You'll see all your favorites, like Tyrannosaurus and Apatosaurus, but there will also be some dinos you may not have heard of. How about the Baryonyx? It's a ten-foot-tall bipedal crocodile monster with 96 serrated teeth. There's also an Acrocanthosaurus, and a couple of Tyrannosaurids from Texas that dwarf the T-Rex and had muscles like the Incredible Hulk to boot…and its robotic doppelganger is going to be coming for you. ''It's…fascinating to see these giant monsters roar and come to life,'' said Moody Gardens Public Relations Coordinator Stephanie Chan. ''When I walk through the exhibit, I always see kids and parents stunned at the massive size of T‑Rex.''
Various hours. Daily. Through August 11. One Hope Blvd., Galveston. For information, call 800-582-4673 or visit moodygardens.com. $7.50.
