Discovery of the Cistern
Few Houstonians have seen the Cistern, the huge underground structure that was once used as the city's underground drinking-water reservoir. Today, Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BBP) and the Architecture Center Houston present Guy Hagstette, a consultant and project manager for BBP, in a talk called Discovery of the Cistern. SmartGeoMetrics is providing 3-D imaging of the now empty space while Hagstette details the facility's history and possible future.
6 p.m. reception. 6:30 p.m. presentation. 315 Capitol. For information, call 713-752-0314 or visit aiahouston.org. Free.
