There's going to be a whole lot of burping going on at Hobby Center this week. No, it's not the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, it's
Dixie's Tupperware Party. You know how a Tupperware party goes. A bunch of people get together at one person's home, enjoying wine coolers and munchies while a cheery facilitator demonstrates the newest color-coordinated plastic food-storage products (to be clear, it's the products that are plastic, not the food). Dixie Longate takes that venerable direct-marketing tradition and pumps it full of 'roids in the cheeky stage show
Dixie's Tupperware Party. The over-the-top Ms. Longate (who may or may not be a biological Ms.) is ''the number one Tupperware seller in the world'' (we wonder how much burping that took).
7:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Through June 16. Hobby Center, 800. Bagby. For information, call 713-558-8887 or visit tuts.com. $24 to $39.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: June 4. Continues through June 16, 2013
