About a year ago, we wrote about local duo Bluebirds. Sadly, they arent together anymore in more ways than one. We broke up, says Elaine Greer, explaining how the pairs romantic split led to a musical one. Fortunately, the 19-year-old singer/songwriter is pressing on and continues to write her acoustic, folksy pop, which only gets better as she gets older. She even got a new man -- well, at least for the music end of things. (Friend Nick Cody now joins her and switches off on bass and guitar.) Fans of songstresses such as Mirah and Jenny Lewis should definitely get their ear on this homegrown talent and stay tuned for more. Greer plays today before Buckeye and after Nice Work If You Can Get It and Bob Wall.
