Extremely Shorts Film Festival
Wasteland, a stop-action-animated film by Kathleen Quillian, takes audiences from the farm to the grocery store, examining how the food-production industry affects our health. Blink and you might miss it, though - the film is just three minutes long. It's showing as part of the 13th installment of Aurora Picture Show's two-day Extremely Shorts Film Festival. This year's juror is Donald Harrison, executive director of the Ann Arbor Film Festival, who selected 23 films - all three minutes or shorter - from more than 100 submitted. 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Molly Gochman Studio, Houston, 2442 Bartlett Street. For information, call 713-868-2101 or visit www.aurorapictureshow.org. $7.
Fri., June 25, 7 p.m., 2010
