No matter which potions we try, we still can't seem to get our Level 5 wizard past this one damn orc. It's driving us crazy! Fortunately, this weekend brings ApolloCon, Houston's only sci-fi, fantasy and horror convention. It's three days of pure geek heaven, with sci-fi lectures, live-action role playing and even a Scotch tasting. (We assume it's alien scotch.) Among the seminars on tap: "Was Bridget Jones a Trekkie?" and "What Do You Mean My Moon Is An Asteroid?!?!?" There will also be many Texas sci-fi authors on hand, including John Moore, Lee Martindale and Rice University's Alexis Glynn Latner.
