Gabriel Iglesias

While his signature line “I’m not fat…I’m fluffy!” has been taken up by the amply-fleshed all over, comedian Gabriel Iglesias also comments on the pertinent social issues of the day, like alcohol abuse. “You know you’re really drunk when you’re doing circles in the parking lot and can’t find the exit,” he says in his routines, adding that when the cop comes over, one of two things crosses your mind: “I’m okay…I’m fine…I can beat this” or “I better call home and tell the kids I’m going to jail.”

Iglesias first gathered national attention as a finalist on the 2006 edition of Last Comic Standing. He was disqualified for smuggling a BlackBerry into the show, supposedly to communicate with family and friends. Rumor is he was actually ordering pizza. 7:30 p.m. Friday, 8 p.m. Saturday. Verizon Wireless Theater, 520 Texas. For information, call 713-230-1600 or visit www.livenation.com. $33.50-$39.50.
