Taking advice from a comedian seems an inadvisable proposition, but
Greg Behrendt is a different sort of stand-up comic. He saw his name on
The New York Times Best Seller List for
He's Just Not That Into You, a 2004 self-help book he co-authored about why John Q. Handsome didn't come up for coffee. (Hint: "When it comes to men, deal with us as we are, not how you'd like us to be.") And maybe Behrendt is qualified to dispense wisdom - he's married with two kids, has been sober for longer than a decade, has a successful Comedy Central special on his résumé and has consulted for
Sex and the City, an episode of which inspired his book.
