Houston Fringe Festival
The Houston Fringe Festival, produced by multimedia dance company FrenetiCore, is a showcase of offbeat and outsider theater, burlesque, puppetry, dance, performance art, comedy, music, film and visual arts. Highlights from this years festival include Texas playwright Ryan Cockerhams Most Extreme Ocean Adventure, a rocking comedy set aboard Christopher Columbuss famous voyage. Modern dance lovers wont want to miss New York duo Sobers & Godleys The Shit We Lost in the Fire, a three-part performance that utilizes spoken word, music, dance and audience participation. Todays performances include Most Extreme Ocean Adventure and CHOP at 7 p.m. Super Happy Fun Land, 3801 Polk. Cassie and Just a Tease are at 7:30 p.m. Frenetic Theater, 5102 Navigation.
