Filmmaker Byron Hurt's documentary Soul Food Junkies looks at what a soul food diet has done to African Americans. Screening as part of the HoustonPBS Community Cinema series, Soul Food Junkies explores the significance of soul food to black culture, its history and the growing food justice movement as it relates to African-American consumers.
