''Inheritance: Stories of Memory and Discovery,'' currently on display at the Holocaust Museum Houston, is a collection of montages by photographer Leslie Starobin. Along with spending several years collecting stories from Holocaust survivors and their children, she was given access to many of the families' keepsakes and items salvaged from the war. She compiled this material into photographic montages that are, in a word, stunning. There are several series within this collection, broken down by family. In From Berlin to Shanghai, Starobin assembles the Tischler family’s childhood photos, emigration documents and tattered memorabilia to depict their upended lives and eventual escape from Germany to China. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Through March 24. For information, call 713-942-8000 or visit www.hmh.org. Free.
