Jurassic Park Live
Steven Spielberg spent $63 million on the blockbuster film Jurassic Park. The Old Murder House Theatre has spent $21,330 on the parody Jurassic Live. The stage show follows in the footsteps of the troupe’s previous production Aliens on Ice by taking the Brachiosaurus-size phenomenon of Jurassic Park (translation: huge) and making it more Procompsognathus-like in scope (translation: tiny). Who needs CGI and animatronics when you have cardboard, duct tape, and, most important of all, heart? Thanks to funding via the Kickstarter project, Old Murder House is able to tour this small-budget show which so successfully apes Spielberg’s action flick. 8 p.m. The Orange Show, 2402 Munger.
