Kevin Smith: Live from Behind
The transition of Kevin Smith from the director of movies like Clerks, Mallrats and Dogma to the long-winded, hilarious spoken-word artist/comedian dishing on being too fat to fly a commercial airline, has been an eventful one. Along the way, he hammered on the Superman project but got dumped when Tim Burton signed on to direct. Now Smith stars in his own hot series of speaking tours and specials, as well as his hilarious weekly podcast, which redefines everything we’ve ever learned about audio entertainment. Fans across the country will be able to attend a one-night-only live-streaming video performance of the podcast, Jay and Silent Bob Get Old, in Kevin Smith: Live from Behind. Using social media, the audience can submit questions to Smith and co-star Jason Mewes. Think of it as cutting-edge dick-joke entertainment on super-suped-up technology. 8:30 p.m. Various theaters around Houston, including Houston Marq*E Stadium 22 plus IMAX, 7620 Katy Freeway.
