Las Reynas Del Comal
In the mood for some lowbrow, adult humor? Don't miss the revival of Las Reynas Del Comal, featuring famed Mexican actress Nena Delgado. The Spanish-language show revolves around a group of women - a mother with very traditional values, her more modern daughter and their nosy maid. There's also a handsome cowboy who's got eyes for the mother and the mother's hip, stylish friend (think Blanche from The Golden Girls in a bad blond wig). Full of double entendres and sexual asides, the humor is broad, as are a few of the costumes. Delgado told the Mexican publication Milenio that along with updating the dialogue, several of the costumes had to be let out since some of the returning actresses had gained a few pounds during the show's 14-year hiatus. 6:30 and 9:15 p.m. Wortham Center, 550 Prairie. For information, call 713-222-1213 or visit www.tbhcenter.org. $20 to $25.
Sat., Dec. 18, 6:30 & 9:15 p.m., 2010
