Anderson Silva may be one of the greatest mixed martial arts fighters of all time. He holds the record for both the longest winning streak and the longest title defense in UFC history, something he accomplished with a fair ground game and unbelievable Muay Thai strikes. At the Legacy Fighting Championship, he’ll defend his Middleweight Championship in a rematch against Chael Sonnen. Sonnen, a U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team Alternate, took Anderson to the absolute limit in 2010, dominating the Brazilian champion from the mount and landing blows at will until Silva managed to secure the victory with a perfectly timed triangle armbar. Controversy surrounding the original match, including the fact that Silva went in injured and accusations that Sonnen tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs, has made this second meeting something epic in the eyes of fight fans. Who will really be the best on a level playing field? 7:30 p.m. Arena Theatre, 7326 Southwest Freeway.
