Leonardos Renaissance Table
The great artist Leonardo might have been from the town Vinci, near Florence, but he spent a lot of time in Milan. Its the difference between Florence and Milan cuisine thats the focus of Leonardos Renaissance Table, an accompaniment to the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences current show Leonardo da Vinci, Man, Inventor, Genius. Diners will enjoy a four-course dinner of goat cheese pesto, salad, grilled chicken Milanese and pistachio ice cream. Theyll also hear about Leonardos views regarding diet (hint: he was an animal lover and believed in healthy living). And for the kitchen engineers out there, youll get to see the Renaissance prototypes for some of the kitchen gadgets weve all grown to love. Eat up at 7 p.m. Damians Cucina Italiana, 3011 Smith. For information, call 713-639-4629 or visit www.hmns.org. $74 to $84.
