Lupin the III: The Castle of Cagliostro
It seems like a thief would give up after realizing his boosted bounty is all bogus bills, but not Lupin. The titular character of Lupin the III: The Castle of Cagliostro, the first anime feature film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, creator of the Academy Award-winning Spirited Away, realizes the only thing worth more than the counterfeit currency (besides anything) is the machines used to print them. In a brave (or stupid) move, Lupin returns to the scene of his crime to lift the printing presses; only this time, things dont go so smoothly. In his second run, Lupin finds his search for fortune transmuted into a fight against evil, complete with a count, a damsel in distress and, in true anime fashion, a ninja.
