Major League Soccer Western Conference Semi-Finals

The Astros are nowhere near the World Series and the Texans are shaping up to be as disappointing as last year, but Houston can still rally behind a championship team. No, not the Rockets. The Houston Dynamo’s 0-1 loss against FC Dallas last Saturday means they’ll have to win by two points today in the second game of the first round of the Major League Soccer Western Conference Semi-Finals to stay in the running for their second MLS Championship. The scores from last Saturday’s game and today’s game will be added up to determine the winner. Even the though the Dynamo are coming off a loss, today’s game could change everything. “Usually these [aggregate games] are decided in the second game,” says Dominic Kinnear. This means the men in orange will need plenty of support in the stands. So pack on the anaranjado(that’s orange) and get your cheer on, but remember, gringos, it’s “Vale, vale, vale Dynamo” not “Dyna, Dyna, Dyna Dynamo.” 7:30 p.m. Robertson Stadium, University of Houston, 3874 Holman.
