Marlene Dumas: Measuring Your Own Grave
The exhibit Marlene Dumas: Measuring Your Own Grave, the first-ever mid-career exhibition for the painter, covers the years from 1980 to the present. Dumas is well known for using the human face and figure to explore the ideas of social identity, race and sexuality, and now we can see how that theme has evolved over the last 30 years. 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Through April 21. The Menil Collection, 1515 Sul Ross. For information, call 713-525-9400 or visit www.menil.org. Free.
Wednesdays-Sundays. Starts: March 27. Continues through June 21, 2009
