Merry Christmas, George Bailey

It’s a play inside a play in Merry Christmas, George Bailey which is a stage show built around a 1940s-era radio performance of It’s a Wonderful Life, for a fresh take on the Christmas classic. As with Wonderful Life, George Bailey shows the audience a man so depressed and disappointed with his life, he’s about to commit suicide when his guardian angel steps in to show him what life would be like for his loved ones if he had never been born. (Spoiler: George gets over it and everything turns out fine in the end.) 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 2:30 p.m. Sundays. Nancy Bock Center for the Performing Arts, 3800 South Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands. For information, call 832-592-9697 or visit www.towncentertheatre.net. $15 to $25.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Dec. 5. Continues through Dec. 21, 2008
