Musiqa: Deep Sky Objects

A sweeping intergalactic romance is at the center of Deep Sky Objects, the new work by composer Sebastian Currier. Set to poetry by Sarah Mangus, Deep Sky Object is making its world premiere during today’s Musiqa concert. Soprano Karol Bennett appears as a soloist. Secret Alchemy by Pierre Jalbert and a set of violin-piano preludes by Lera Auerbach are also on the program. 7:30 p.m. Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, 800 Bagby.
