Paranormal Signing Night
With all apologies to agents Mulder and Scully, you may never find out if the truth is really out there. But you can get a bit out-of-this-world at Murder by the Books Paranormal Signing Night. Paranormal mysteries and thrillers usually involve characters who are ghosts, vampires, werewolves or some other fantasy creature, says MBTBs resident witch of weirdness, Anne Kimbol. She also points to the popularity of the Harry Potter, Sookie Stackhouse and Twilight series especially among adults as evidence of their high pop culture popularity.
At todays group signing, three Texas-based authors of paranormal fiction will discuss and sign their latest works Victoria Laurie with Ghouls Just Haunt to Have Fun, Dakota Cassidy with The Accidental Human and Michele Bardsley with Over My Dead Body. They are writing on the lighter side of the [genre], says Kimbol. And theres romance! Romance that involves a string of garlic and a crucifix, no doubt. 6:30 p.m. Murder by the Book, 2342 Bissonnet.
