Randy Wayne White: Gone

Author Randy Wayne White has had an interesting life. He once stole one of General Manuel Noriega’s bar stools, he was stabbed in Peru and he spent some time transporting Cuban refugees. Oh, and he’s written more than 16 best-selling thrillers featuring his Doc Ford character. In his newest title, Gone, White’s protagonist is a formidable woman named Hannah Smith, though Doc Ford makes an appearance. A fishing guide living on the Gulf Coast, Smith becomes involved in the search for a missing woman, going from Captiva Island, home to the über-rich, to Florida’s backroad swamps, home to hungry alligators. White reads from and signs Gone today.
