RealFilms Screening: Living with the Trinity
Younger generations might not be aware of the Trinity River's extraordinary history. The waterway links Dallas/Fort Worth to Galveston Bay, and in the early 1970s there were controversial plans to transform the Trinity's entire length into a barge canal, turning Dallas/Fort Worth into a competitive inland port. Presented by RealFilms and the Documentary Alliance, Living with the Trinity explores the river's environmental and political history. 7 p.m., Houston Community College - NW (Spring Branch/Town & Country Campus, 1010 West Sam Houston Parkway North, 713-666-2504. $10.
