Reflections from the 4th International Music Festival 2010 in San Miguel & Mexico City: Echos de una Nacion
One of Mexico's preeminent musicians, cellist Carlos Prieto, is performing as part of Reflections from the 4th International Music Festival 2010 in San Miguel & Mexico City: Echos de una Nacion at the University of St. Thomas. During the two-day lecture-performance series, Prieto will perform a recital with pianist Robert Brewer and appear at a reception being given in his honor (where he'll be signing copies of his book Adventures of a Cello). Other artists appearing are composer Javier Alvarez, mezzo-soprano Cecilia Duarte, the Apollo Chamber Players and students from the University of St. Thomas. A gala is also scheduled.
