Houston native and saxophonist/singer Ronnie Laws has worked with notable music greats during his career, including The Jazz Crusaders, Hugh Masekela and his famous brother, flautist Hubert. Laws has just recently moved back to Houston, and local jazz fans are excited to welcome him home during today's concert at Dosey Doe Coffee House. Laws spent two years with Earth, Wind & Fire during their early years before he went on to solo success. His first recording for Blue Note records, the 1975 Pressure Sensitive, firmly established Laws as a leader in the progressive jazz movement, a position he's securely held ever since. 7:30 p.m. 25911 I-45 North.
