Seventh Annual Open Call Exhibition: Reconstruction (Featuring Artist Sherry Sullivan)
The rules were simple for the show Seventh Annual Open Call Exhibition: Reconstruction (Featuring Artist Sherry Sullivan). One piece per artist would be accepted, and only the first 125 pieces would be shown. The concept meant that, for this show at least, timing was almost as important as talent. The theme for the show was "reconstruction.” That’s it, one word; it was left up to the artists to decide what that meant. We expect to see a broad range of takes on this year’s theme.
Painter and longtime "Open Call Exhibition” participant Sherry Sullivan is the featured artist for the show; she’ll be showing several new works, including a colorful untitled piece showing a magenta bird in a lush setting.
