Unlike their co-exhibitors, featured artists Bonnie Blue and the late Glen Gips weren't limited as to subject matter. Works by the pair fill the museum's two small galleries. Blue, an Art Car creator, has several mounted pieces of previous art cars, including one that was in a wreck. According to Blue, the added decorations helped soften the blow so that she was able to avoid injury.
Gips, who passed away earlier this year due to complications from heart surgery, is represented by a variety of portraits, including several of himself. Gips's paintings are done in bright, colorful pastels. In one painting, we see him sporting a full beard and somber expression, staring directly ahead. Around him are lines of yellow, pink and red seemingly vibrating like dancing auras. 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Through January 14.
