Spacetaker and 800 of its closest friends are honoring organization founder David Brown's eight years of service at Spacetaker's Apocalypto, a party with a Mad Max theme. If the schmoozing doesn't take up all your time, there are also plenty of performances and art to see: Psophonia Dance Company, Freneticore, Scatter! Improv, Robert Ellis and the Boys and lots of others. The menu includes offerings from some of Houston's most popular eateries: Frosted Betty Bakeshop, Sushi Raku, Pappas Grill Steakhouse and Ruggles Green, to name a few. Dance, theater, art, music, food, drinks, and like-minded arty types - what more could a scenester ask for? 7 to 11 p.m. Winter Street Studios, 2101 Winter Street. For information, call 713-868-1839 or visit www.spacetaker.org.
PRICE CORRECTION: $40 for Culture 365 Members, $60 general admission, $150 Mad Max Pass, $250 VIP Ticket.
