Tex Kerschen: Tidal Economics

We want to warn you that Tidal Economics is not, in fact, the latest government stimulus plan. So if you’re looking for answers to why your paycheck is so small, you won’t find them here. You will, however, find out all about death, crashing cars (on purpose and not), worshiping dogs and making babies. Okay, and maybe a little, tiny bit about finances — but only with regards to the effects of the moon on your personal checking account. Tex Kerschen, known to many Houston audiences as a founding member of the band Indian Jewelry, is a curator with the Art Car Museum and The Station Museum of Contemporary Art. He also happens to be a writer, and Tidal Economics is his latest work of poetry. He’ll be reading today at 8 p.m. DiverseWorks, 1117 East Freeway. For information, call 713-223-8346 or visit www.diverseworks.org. Free.
