The Magic Flute
The New York Metropolitan Operas The Magic Flute is back on screen, at least. This is an abridged, English-language version of Mozarts masterpiece put together especially for family audiences, with Julia Taymor (of The Lion King fame) in the directors chair. The bright, colorful production swoops audiences into a world of giant birds, dancing bears and, of course, magic flutes that can change mens hearts.
