The Sound of Music

It’s easy to think that The Sound of Music is all lovely “do-re-mi’s” and happy ditties, but the truth is the film deals with one of the darkest times of the 20th century — the Nazi overthrow of Western Europe. The impending evil makes the innocence of “My Favorite Things” and “16 Going on 17” all the sweeter. 2 p.m. Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, 1001 Bissonnet.
