The White Christmas Album 2: The Sequel has chosen to embrace this fact with its second annual Beatles-based year-end finale. “It was during the recording of The Beatles’ The White Album that a lot of the conflict began with the group,” says Luke Wrobel, Music Box’s co-creative director and an actor in the company. “So this year, we look at the conflict of Christmas.” In addition to numerous beloved and seemingly loving Fab Four tunes, including “I Feel Fine,” “Come Together,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “All My Loving” and others featured in last season’s inaugural installment of the show, Wrobel says TMBT fans should also expect a hefty dose of holiday standards thrown into the mix. “We realized that a lot of these songs lend themselves to sort of a mash-up,” Wrobel says, noting that musical director Glenn Sharp has done a fine job with the Lennon-McCartney carol-splicing.
