Through the years, we've met a number of spooky families: the Munsters, the Addamses and -- perhaps the most horrific -- the Osbournes. Houston-area kids will get to drop in on another chilling clan in Ace Theatre's production of The Creepy Creeps. The oddball family, which lives in a "monstrosity" of a mansion on Pilgrim Road, must fend off a snooty neighbor who wants them evicted so the normal neighbors can win the All-American Street Contest."It's a very comical spookiness, and the Creeps aren't nearly as scary as eclectic," says Leslie Reese, Ace's general manager. The cast of kids and teens will perform seven songs to move the plot line along. "It brings a level of intimacy to the show, to have kids watch their peers actually performing," Reese adds. "There's odd characters, strange pets, fun music and lots of intrigue." Sounds a lot like Ozzy and his brood -- minus the f#%*ed-up language, of course. 7:30 p.m. Fridays, 3 p.m. Saturdays. October 24 through November 8. 5927 Louetta. For information, call 281-793-8795 or visit www.acetheatre.org. $5. -- Bob Ruggiero
Sister Act

Going Bananas
FRI 10/24
Monkey see, monkey do. After your kids see Jane Goodall's Wild Chimpanzees on the very big screen at the IMAX, they'll be "pant-hooting" up a storm. They'll also be a little wiser about their evolutionarily nearest neighbors. Noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday, October 24. Museum of Natural Science, One Hermann Circle Drive. For additional showtimes, call 713-639-4629 or visit www.hmns.org. $4.50 to $7. -- Keith Plocek
