Time in Motion
Musiqa aims to be the forum where “the modern arts intersect.” Why go to a chamber music concert when you can go to a combination chamber music concert, dance performance, poetry reading, theatrical presentation, film screening and visual art exhibit? That’s the thinking behind Musiqa, which uses a musical base as the support for a whole lotta other artforms. Today’s Time in Motion event will feature music by Mason Bates, Guillaume Connesson, Marc-André Dalbavie and Marc Mellits; a performance by Houston modern dance company NobleMotion Dance; a work by Musiqa composer Pierre Jalbert; and the film Big Bang Big Boom by Blu, presented by Houston Cinema Arts Society.
7:30 p.m. Hobby Center, 800 Bagby. For information, call 713-315-2525 or visit musiqahouston.org.$20 to $40.
Sat., March 22, 7:30 p.m., 2014
